The declared aim of the city of Düsseldorf is to construct an administrative building that sets standards in many respects. The Technical Administration Building serves as a modern workplace, but also as a meeting point and thus a place of administration close to the public.

The building design harmonizes with its urban surroundings by balancing its tower and podium while responding to the site’s topography. A southern entrance and clear pathways connect the park, public areas, and subway, promoting openness and easy navigation. Sustainability is emphasized through green roofs, vertical vegetation, and integrated spaces that enhance the microclimate and support urban ecology.
