The building site is located on the ser, a wooded mountain in a university in nanjing, with a lake in front and mountains behind, facing the university library. As a mountain building, the plan is mainly to adapt to the terrain and minimize the modification of the mountain, so the building volume is scattered along the height difference.

As the architecture department, considering that students spend most of their daily time in professional classrooms, there is a lack of a temporary resting place. Therefore, a circle of small rooms is set up outside each major classroom, which can provide a relatively quiet and narrow space for students to temporarily relax and play. This small room also utilizes some prefabricated construction which can be convenient to move, build, combination, decoration and demolition.

In addition, a rich roof garden is set up as an outdoor activity space for students, which also makes the building integrate well with the site. As a green concept building, the volume can make good use of the wind environment of the site and improve the ventilation conditions.
